EQI and Accucam Announce Merger

Combined Company Will Deliver Unmatched Range, Scale and Capabilities to Streamline Procurement for Leading OEMs

Spring Lake, MI and Cambridge, Ontario ― EQI Ltd. and Accucam jointly announced a merger today that establishes EQI as a leading metal products supplier to the world’s major OEMs. Accucam will operate as a division of EQI and Blake Phillips, EQI’s Chief Executive Officer will oversee the combined business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2004, EQI is a leading global provider of critical supply chain management services, including sourcing, manufacturing and logistics, for OEMs who procure metal castings. EQI boasts the broadest foundry partnerships in the industry. Now with Accucam, EQI cements its position as a leading global metal products supplier delivering unmatched range, scale, and capabilities to streamline and de-risk parts procurement, and adds world-class finish machining of castings and machined parts manufacturing to its suite of services.

Accucam began as a single facility machine shop in 1987 and evolved into to a full-service component part supplier. Today, Accucam operates two facilities in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and one in Qingdao, China, complementing EQI’s locations across Michigan, Beijing, Coimbatore, India and Hanoi, Vietnam to reach a new global scale. Accucam adds industry partnerships that span agriculture, turf care, defense, and transportation to EQI’s established end markets, including material handling, aerial work platform, construction, oil and gas, forestry, and CNC machine tool industries. Accucam’s finish machining capabilities bring a new set of services to EQI and adds small steel components to its broad product offering while providing complementary customer bases that will now be able to turn to EQI for all their metal product’s needs.

EQI engages in community involvement during this holiday season

EQI is proud to participate with various local charities during this unprecedented holiday season. “With the various struggles our community faces today, EQI is pleased to have a culture driven by our employees that wants to make a difference” says Kelly Christian, EQI’s Controller. This year, EQI has provided assistance to Berea Food Bank, Veterans of Muskegon Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, a Covid-19 relief fund through the local churches, and the company has adopted a teen through Tri Cities Community Cares. “We wish our entire community the very best and feel fortunate to have the ability to make a positive impact” says Christian. EQI Acquires Industrial Paint Solutions

Acquisition Strengthens EQI’s Leading Position as Full-Service Solutions Provider for Major OEMs

Spring Lake, MI – EQI Ltd. (“EQI”) announced today that it has acquired Industrial Paint Solutions (IPS), a leading supplier of repair, vendor managed inventory (VMI) and finish painting services located in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. This transaction brings enhanced service capabilities to EQI, which partners with the world’s leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to seamlessly manage global supply chain needs.

IPS was founded in 2011 by Richard Graham, who still leads the business today, now as part of EQI.  The company provides finish painting services (both wet and powder coatings), counterweight repairs, VMI, and other services to OEMs. Reliable finish painting is critical to the usability of castings, which will now be handled by EQI in-house in the Craigavon facility.

Kids’ Food Basket Thanks EQI for Five Years of Championship

The EQI team once again participated in Kids’ Food Basket “Go Orange for KFB March Challenge,” placing second in the 2022 event. This year, we raised a total of $6,356.00, donated 170 lbs of food, volunteered 32 hours, decorated bags, made supper packs, and attended dine-out events.

Kids’ Food Basket (KFB) increases access to healthy food for children and families in West Michigan. KFB president and founding CEO Bridget Clark Whitney thanked the EQI team for its dedication and support for the last five years.

“We are so grateful to you and all of the ways you have championed this beautiful, critical mission,” said Clark Whitney in a video message, noting that KFB’s Muskegon location serves 1,700 meals every weekday during the school year and summer.

“Your contributions, your championship, and your volunteerism is helping our community show up for each and every one of our kids,” she said. “We’re really grateful for EQI, your whole company, and your whole team.”
