Specialty Stainless Steels

17-4 PH®

17-4 PH® is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel used for high strength with practical corrosion resistance. It is one of the most common choices for shafts, fasteners, fittings, and structural parts that need more strength than austenitic stainless grades can provide. EQI supplies 17-4 PH in bar, plate, and finished components.

17-4-PH® is a registered trademark of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Corporation.

  • UNS S17400
  • Precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless
  • Also known as: Type 630
